Patron Saints of two contries
Saints Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, in Ireland in the USA. Saint Patrick was a missionary from the Catholic Church.
On Saint Patrick's Day, people like to wear green clothes. If you don't wear green clothes, people pinch you.
In Goias, we also have a Patron Saint. Our Patron Saint is Divino Pai Eterno. Is celebrated on first Sunday of July.
Every year starting on the first Sunday of July thousands of pilgrims arrive in Trindade to pray to the "Divino Pai Eterno" (Divine Holy Father). The festival lasts for fifteen days and attracts an estimated population of close to one million visitors, one of the largest religious festivals in Brazil.

Junina Party(Festa Junina)
In Brasil, Junina Party is commemorated on June 13th. The tradition originated in the small cities of the countryside, where people were more religious and more dependant on good crops; today, the parties can be found all over the country. In larger cities, it´s common to see these parties being organized by churches or schools, which try to raise some extra funds.
The parties have some typical features: music, costumes, food, decoration, games, etc.
People wear clothes associated with hillbillies ("caipira"); young boys make up beard and moustache; young girls arrange ponytails. Music is based on simple instruments (triangle, accordion), with several traditional songs.
Food is heavily based on corn and other ingredients available on farms; boiled corn, baked corn, popcorn, several candies based on corn, milk and peanuts (pe-de-moleque, canjica, curau, pamonha, cocada, etc;)
I like seeing the square dance of the children, which is very much fun! I also like to dance square dance, too.
